Elisha Cuthbert is too classy for Sean Avery Celebrities Sports
NHL clown Sean Avery felt compelled to call over a reporter and make some rather classless comments about former girlfriend Elisha Cuthbert after morning skate yesterday. He seems a little bitter about the "24" actress' romance with Dion Phaneuf the Calgary Flames, and called her "sloppy seconds."
What a jerk! Of course nothing he says or does is too much of a suprise anymore, after all we're talking about the guy who has his own rule in the NHL rulebook after acting like a spastic scarecrow in front of goaltenders in the playoffs last season.
Elisha is a nice Canadian girl, of course she'd be interested in hockey players...is that any different from U.S. starlets dating football and basketball players?
Avery was suspended after his comments, and he's got a hearing with the NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman today. I'm sure Bettman is tired of having this goofball sent to his "principals office" for detention every few months...it will be interesting to see what the league does about it.
In the meantime, the rest of the Dallas Stars seemed happy to have the team distraction off the ice and they played their best game in weeks, especially struggling goaltender Marty Turco.
