The Leg Lamp from A Christmas Story
Right up there as an iconic part of the props from A Christmas Story is that Leg Lamp...you have to giggle a little every time you see one, don't you? :-) "Fra-gee-lay: It must be Italian!" lol
Jean Shepherd was one of my favorite writers when I was a boy, he had a funny show on Public TV for a while and I don't know if many people watched it but it was hysterical. I never knew he was responsible for "A Christmas Story" until recently, but it makes sense because that was his kind of humor. Leg lamps, tongues stuck to frozen lamp-posts...yeah, that was classic Jean.
